The self-guided tour can be completed from the comfort of your own vehicle, or, and this is a strong recommendation, rent one of the park’s safari vans. While the rental vehicles may look a little rough, and there are bars on all the windows, you don’t have to worry about dents, dings, scratched paint, or a cracked windshield in your vehicle. (That makes is more than worth the extra bit of cash in my opinion.) You’ll encounter a diverse array of animals from around the world as you drive through the park’s winding roads and witness deer, goats, zebras, and bison roaming freely. Don’t be surprised if a curious ostrich approaches your car for a closer look!

One of the highlights of the safari is the opportunity to feed the animals. You can purchase bags of feed at the ticket counter and feed the eager residents as you drive through the park. This hands-on experience not only delights visitors but also fosters a deeper understanding of the animals and their behaviors, especially when they are motivated by food. 

In addition to the drive-through safari, Wild Animal Safari features a walking area that allows guests to get even closer to a variety of animals.
